Adult Therapy

A confidential space to slow down, reflect on what's happening in your life, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships.

Many people come to therapy because something doesn’t feel quite right. You don’t need to arrive with a clear goal or a precise explanation of what is wrong.

Often, people start therapy simply knowing they want things to feel different.

Therapy offers a dedicated, non-judgemental space to think about your experiences without any pre-loaded expectations.

Together, we can explore your thoughts, feelings and relationships, making sense of patterns that may have developed over time and opening up new ways of relating to yourself and others.

Areas of support

I work with adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and relational difficulties, including:

My approach

As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw on attachment-informed and psychodynamic thinking, alongside approaches such as CBT, Gestalt and mindfulness, to tailor the work to your needs. You can read more about the different therapeutic models I draw on.

By exploring how early experiences may connect with what is happening now, we can begin to break old patterns, manage stress and anxiety more effectively, and approach change with greater self-compassion.

This flexible approach can support meaningful and lasting change.

What to expect

Free 20-minute call

We begin with a free, no-obligation 20-minute call. This gives us a chance to talk through what you’re looking for, answer any questions you may have and see whether I might be the right therapist for you.

Initial session

If we decide to move forward, we meet in person for an initial session. This gives us time to explore your background, what has brought you to therapy and what you hope to get from the work.

Initial block of sessions

After that, we usually agree to a further block of four weekly sessions. This gives us time to begin building trust, settle into the therapy and get a clearer sense of what support may be most helpful.

Review and next steps

At the end of this initial block, we’ll meet for a review. This is an opportunity to reflect on what has felt helpful, what hasn’t, and whether to continue with open-ended therapy, bring the work to a close, or explore a different direction.

Regular reviews continue throughout the work to make sure the support remains right for you.

Flexible therapy options

While some people benefit from longer-term therapy, others feel short-term focused support is more helpful around a specific issue such as bereavement or life transitions.

Here, I offer a 12-week block of sessions, with reviews held at sessions five and ten to ensure the support being offered is right for you. This can provide a more focused structure while still allowing space for reflection and depth.
